It relates to my point about the weight loss industry booming at the same time as the change industry — yet we’ve never been fatter or slower. You correctly highlight the cyclical nature of these rescue attempts — as predictable as January diets.

Just as permanent lifestyle change is a flexible, ongoing process that involves body, mind and spirit — so changing an organisation is a journey without end and not a fixed point ‘transformation’.

I’m told Amazon have never had a change programme.
